Well, the long-awaited 14to9 poker chips have arrived! In fact, they came in yesterday afternoon about 3pm. We loaned the camera to Sameer and Afia, so I decided to wait until we got it back to post about the chips. That time is now.
First of all, they look and feel terrific! I am so pleased with the detail in the printing process. After spending so many hours tooling around with meticulous design elements, it seemed a genuine risk that they would be lost in a low-end print process. No need to worry on that front! Hooray ChipCo! The product is every bit as colorful and well-made as I could have wished for!
We immediately scheduled a game for tonight (Saturday) with anyone we could get. This afternoon the wife and I quickly produced a makeshift table (with batting and felt!) over a scavenged 3×6 plywood sheet from the basement. Many thanks to Angie & Alex and Dana & Jay for spending a great evening with Caryn and myself in the Inaugural 14to9 Chip Poker Game! Double props roll out to Jay, who as an FSU alumnus, deserves much love for enduring an event loaded with Gator zeal.
In a fitting outcome, the evening’s victory came to me. But truly, I had a wonderful time irrespective of outcome (we played outdoors with tiki lamps burning nearby) and was swept away in a couple of hours of Gatorlicious poker fun!
A HUGE bucket of love to Cristin, Dad, Geoff and Pete for totally spoiling me with this gift, and to my darling bride for sneaking the idea to them. I am spoiled. Rotten.

Thanks, dude- I did not get a carrying case yet. So far, only our house has been sanctioned for official play with the 14to9 chipset!
If you’d like to see your home or gameroom certified for play with these fine pieces, please send us an email ;)
PS. I totally had to google for a picture of that twenty-eight bucks, too!
