I guess this is why they play the games, eh?

I have no idea what Crash is- or how for that matter a Sandra Bullock vehicle wins Best Picture- but now’s not the time to send the gift horse to the dentist.

Everybody knew Brokeback was gonna win Best Picture. Especially the wife. She even threw a casual suggestion that we take in a showing on Saturday night since we ‘already know’ it’s going to win. I almost went! And her fever is running even higher than usual- Caryn and Geoff ran into Heath Ledger and Ms. Michelle Williams at a local Brooklyn restaurant last week*

Now I fully realize that this blog post can have only one certain outcome- she will spend our money on a copy when it hits DVD. She will inevitably force this one into my carefully guarded movie collection.

I just hope she spits on her palm first.

• Really, I’d simply prefer no comments to the blog about this whole Caryn-and-Geoff-at-dinner-while-I’m-out scenario, thank you.
